Yes, you read right. Your Sun Sign rules a part of the human body. Sounds like a load of hocus pocus doesn't it? I thought that too until I really started reading about it, and it actually makes quite a bit of sense. Before we get into the reason of knowing why it's important to learn what part of the body each sign rules, let's see what they are...
Rules the head, face (except the nose), and the brain.
Rules the neck, throat, larynx, tonsils, and jugular veins.
Rules the shoulders, arms, fingers, lungs, and upper ribs.
Rules the stomach, diaphragm, breasts, and lymph system.
Rules the heart, aorta, the back, and spinal cord.
Rules the large and small intestines, and the pancreas.
Rules the kidneys, equilibrium and balance.
Rules the nose, genitals, colon, the blood, and urethra.
Rules the hips, thighs, liver, veins, femur bones, and sacral region.
Rules the teeth, bones, kneecaps, and skin.
Rules the lower legs, ankles, varicose veins, and circulatory system.
Rules the feet and toes.
So that's easy enough to remember... right? It literally moves down the body in order of the karmic wheel. So now you are wondering why on Earth is this important to know? Well let's get into it. In medicine there are things known as the sympathetic parts of the body that was came up with from Hippocrates. It pretty much explains how a certain part of the body hurts or creates symptoms because there is something wrong with it's sympathetic part. All of the sympathetic parts are across from each other pictured down below. If you are not familiar with the Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable sings you can read about them by clicking on this link. For example; Aries rules the head and Libra rules the kidneys. The first sign of kidney problems start with severe headaches. Leo rules the heart and Aquarius rules the lower legs. One of the first symptoms of heart problems is pain in the lower legs. If you are out in the cold rain for hours and your feet are soaked, it is possible to get pneumonia. Pisces rules the feet and Gemini rules the lungs. You guys see where I'm going with all of this?
The Cardinal Signs
The Fixed Signs
The Mutable Signs
Now that we covered that, there is one more part that you need to know about to really get you educated on what kind of health ailments go with each element. If you are not familiar with the elements you can learn about them by clicking on this link.
Aries - Leo - Sagittarius
Fire signs are known to suffer from high fevers, sicknesses that strike suddenly with no warning in parts of the body that is ruled by that particular Sun Sign. They generally recover very quickly from their illnesses. It is not very often that their illnesses are chronic or long lasting.
Taurus - Virgo - Capricorn
Earth sign's sicknesses come very slowly, and tend to take a long time to heal. They also tend to suffer from emotional depression. The healing of the Earth signs is powerful, but usually take a very long time.
Gemini - Libra - Aquarius
Air signs are most know to suffer from mental and psychological stress. They are also know to have nercous breakdowns, circularoty prblems, and breathing difficulties. The recooperative time is unpredictable.
Cancer - Scorpio - Pisces
Water sings are known to have some pretty odd illnesses. They are usually difficult to diagnose. They say that water signs are able to heal themselves better than any other signs.
Remember that these are very general statements, and are usually correct about 75% of the time. It is still good to know this information. I would also use this information for upcoming procedures as well. When you are going in for any procedure, look at the particular sign that rules that body part, then look at which sign the moon is moon is. For example; if you are going in for open heart surgery and the moon is in Leo, I would strongly suggest you change the date of your appointment if possible. The moon is only in a sign for about two and a half days at a time, so it should not be too hard to do this. This theory was again created by Hippocrates. He said that three things could happen from not regarding this rule; Infection, slow healing, and possibly death. Surgery interrupts the flow of the body in that certain area, and the Moon controls the changing tides and movement of the Ocean as well as the 85% of water our bodies are made up of.
I hope you find this interesting. If you have any questions at all about any of this, email me at any time. Treat your bodies well and you will be thanking yourself later.
